Disney cruises, not just for kids!

Kids aren't the only ones that can have fun on a Disney Cruise. With so many over 18 areas and activities there is plenty for the older "kids". Drop the kids off at the Oceaner's Club, Lab, Edge, or Vibe lounge and enjoy your day. Don't worry I'll do a separate post of the kids, tween, and teen clubs on the ship. Right now we're going to focus on YOU!

Every day be sure to check the Disney Cruise App. for all the daily activities that are happening around the ship. The 18 and older activities will be marked as such. Daily there are mixology and liquor tastings around the ship. These tastings are an extra fee and you need to sign up prior to sailing but they're tons of fun. If just chilling by the pool or hot tub sounds like the perfect day head to the Quiet Cove Pool or Satellite Falls area in the 18 and older area. The Quiet Cove Pool offers a plunge pool and shallow sunbathing pools. The Disney Fantasy has devoted a very large deck space at the front of the ship for the adult guests. The Jacuzzi in this area are glass bottomed so on a day at sea you would be able to see down into the ocean.

Beyond the adult only spaces Disney is great at packing the day with 18 and older activities. From crafting to Bingo there's an activity for everyone! The fun lasts all evening and late into the night; with live music, shows, karaoke, and the movie theater. When we were on board it was playing Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The Europa is the nighttime and entertainment district on the ship. The 5 bars/lounges located in the Europa area are all themed to different countries in Europe. So it's kind of like drinking around world showcase in Epcot. And I will say the bathrooms in this area are just stunning! Yes, I said the bathrooms!!!!! They are the most beautiful restrooms and intricately decorated restrooms you'll ever see. They are inspired by Spanish matadors and senoritas and they are covered in gorgeous mosaics. (one is pictured below)

Adult only dining is also an option too! With two restaurants Palo and Remy, both do require a reservation prior to sailing. The sunset views from Palo are amazing. It features classic Italian cooking with a modern twist. Remy offers a fine french multi coursed dining experience. Unfortunately we did not get to experience either adult dining option but I heard rave reviews from others on the ship. Between these two restaurants is the Meridian bar a great place to grab a cocktail before or after dinner. We did enjoy a delicious cocktail out on the teak deck of this bar.

Senses Spa and Salon is a 16,000 square foot facility. It contains a fitness center, Barbershop, hair and nail salon, hot tubs, sauna, as well as 17 different treatment rooms with a full menu of luxurious spa treatments and services available. Luxury Villa suites for 1 one or two can also be reserved. The Rainforest Room can be booked for an additional fee. It features aromatherapy showers, saunas, stream room and heated stone loungers.

Last but not least is Serenity Bay on Disney's Castaway Cay. The adults only beach on Castaway Cay is away from all the family fun. It's located on the opposite side of the island away from the hustle and bustle of the island. So if your ready for some pure relaxation drop the kids off at Scuttle's Cove and head over to Serenity Bay. There's plenty of lounge chairs, food, and great cocktails on your own private beach!

So needless to say Disney cruising is great at any age! But for the "kid at heart" there is plenty to do!
